Privacy Policy
Effective: April 21, 2026
This is how we handle your information at Margin. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it — in plain language, with nothing buried.
If something here doesn't make sense, or you want to know something that isn't covered, reply to felix@reclaimmargin.com. A human answers.
Who we are
Margin is an AI implementation practice operated from Florida, United States. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “Margin,” that's who we mean. Our website is reclaimmargin.com.
What we collect and why
We collect the minimum we need to do the work you hired us to do. Here's the full list.
When you fill out the intake form on our site. Your first name, email, business name, role, industry, revenue stage, and team size. We use this to qualify the fit, create your prospect record, and send you the phone number and access code for your Margin Interview.
When you call for your Margin Interview. The call is recorded and transcribed. We capture the audio, the transcript, your 4-digit access code (which ties the call to your record), and the duration of the call. We use this to build your Margin summary and, if you pay for one, your full Margin Audit. See the call recording section below for the specifics.
When you pay for a Margin Audit or a Build engagement. Payment is processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number. We do see the transaction record — amount, date, and a confirmation the payment cleared — which we keep for bookkeeping and to trigger delivery of what you paid for.
When you receive email from us. We use Resend to send transactional email (your confirmation, your summary, your audit) and we can see whether you opened it or clicked a link inside it. We use this to confirm delivery and to know whether a follow-up is worth sending.
When you visit our website. Vercel, our hosting provider, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We don't run third-party ad trackers, we don't sell your browsing data, and we don't use cookies for advertising purposes.
That's the whole list. If we start collecting something new, this policy gets updated.
Call recording
Every Margin Interview is recorded. This is non-negotiable for us because the recording is how we build your summary — we can't do the work without it.
Florida is a two-party consent state, which means we are legally required to get your verbal consent before recording. The first thing our voice agent says on every call is a recording disclosure and a request for your consent. If you say no, the call ends. We don't record calls without consent and we never have.
Recordings and transcripts are stored with Retell (our voice infrastructure provider) and copied to our own database. Retell retains the audio file for 30 days; we retain the transcript and summary-generation outputs longer, per the retention schedule below.
Who we share your information with
We don't sell your information to anyone, ever. We do use a small number of service providers to run the practice. Each one only sees the piece of information they need to do their job:
- —Supabase — our database. Holds your prospect record, transcript, and any audit or payment metadata.
- —Retell and Twilio — the voice infrastructure that powers the interview call. Holds the audio and transcript during and briefly after the call.
- —Anthropic (Claude) — the AI model that processes your transcript into a summary and audit. Receives the cleaned transcript as input; does not train on it.
- —Resend — sends our transactional email (confirmation, summary, audit delivery).
- —Stripe — processes payments for audits and builds. Handles all card data directly; we never see it.
- —Vercel — hosts the website and runs our backend code.
If law enforcement serves us with a valid legal request for your information, we will comply with what the law requires and nothing more. We'd tell you about it unless we were legally prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep things
- —Your prospect record (name, email, business info): kept for as long as you're an active client or prospect. Cold prospects are archived 14 days after the last activity and purged from our active systems after 12 months.
- —Interview recordings: 30 days in Retell. After that, only the transcript remains.
- —Interview transcripts and summary outputs: kept as long as your prospect record exists.
- —Paid audit deliverables and payment records: kept for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, per standard US business practice.
- —Email engagement data (opens, clicks): kept for 24 months.
If you want something deleted sooner, see “Your rights” below.
Your rights
You can, at any time, ask us to:
- —Show you what we have about you.
- —Correct anything that's wrong.
- —Delete your record, unless we're required by law to keep it (payment and tax records, mostly).
- —Stop emailing you. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If that link breaks or doesn't cover what you want stopped, email felix@reclaimmargin.com.
To make any of these requests, email felix@reclaimmargin.com. We'll confirm the request within 2 business days and complete it within 30 days, usually faster.
Children
Margin is a business-to-business service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email felix@reclaimmargin.com and we'll delete it.
Security
We use standard industry practices — encrypted connections (HTTPS) for everything on the website, encrypted storage at our service providers, access controls on who can see what internally. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise, but we take this seriously.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information in a material way, we'll update this page and note the change at the top. The effective date above always reflects the most recent version. If you've given us your email, we'll also let you know by email when a change is material enough to warrant it.
